One of the most famous destinations in Rome, that being the Baroque Piazza Navona. It has splendid Baroque masterpieces with works by Borromini and Bernini. It is built over the exact dimensions of Domitian’s Stadium built in 86 AD. There are three fountains in the square with Bernini’s “Fountains of Four Rivers” constructed in 1651 for the Pope being the most photographed item in the square. It truly is a testament to the legacies of Ancient, Renaissance and Modern Rome’s attempts to protect it’s heritage.

한데 저 광장 생김새가 천상 벨로드롬이다. 문제는 그 벨로드롬 시설은 다 사라지고 그 형태만 남았다는 사실.

이 광장은 서기 86년 건설된 도미티아누스 스타디움 테두리를 따라 위치한다.

광장에는 세 개 분수가 있으니 개중에서도 중앙지점 분수가 가장 유명해서 1651년 교황을 위해 베르니니가 만든 “사강 분수Fountains of Four Rivers”가 그것이다. .
