This item is an Ancient Greek gold clasp decorated with the “Herakles knot” design, dating from approximately 300–200 BCE.

It is crafted from gold and features intricate wirework.

The clasp is adorned with figures of four roaring lions at its corners and a figure of Eros, the god of love, in the center.
The “Herakles knot” was a popular ancient symbol of marriage and protective love, named after the hero who used this strong knot to tie his lion-skin cloak.

It measures approximately 4 cm in length.

이 유물은 기원전 300년에서 기원전 200년경에 제작된 고대 그리스 금제 걸쇠로, “헤라클레스 매듭” 문양이 새겨 있다.

금으로 만들었으며 정교한 철사 세공이 특징이다.

걸쇠 네 모서리에는 포효하는 사자 네 마리가, 중앙에는 사랑의 신 에로스가 장식된다.

“헤라클레스 매듭”은 고대부터 결혼과 사랑을 상징하는 인기 있는 문양으로, 사자 가죽 망토를 묶을 때 이 매듭을 사용한 영웅 헤라클레스 이름을 따서 명명했다.

길이는 약 4cm다.
